AN INTRODUCTION  OF  NILE SAFARI  BY FELUCCA :- 

     Felucca life is very different to life in the hotels. We all get to eat and stay together on the felucca. Our Nubian Crew have grown up beside the Nile – they come from a village on Elephantine Island in Aswan. Nubian people like most of the Egyptians are generous, kind hearted, kind and Caring.   Felucca sailing is an art that has been passed throughout the generations, learnt from the forefathers. Originally feluccas were used to transport goods and people, although the basic felucca design has changed little over the centuries.

     Mostly, our overnight tours travel North of Aswan, heading to Edfu, visiting Daraw Camal Market and Kom Ombo along the way. The felucca is laid out with mattresses and pillows. The group spend their time relaxing, swimming, sunbathing, watching life along the River and fellahin villages along the banks of the Nile. Meals are prepared on board with soft Drinks during Meals .  Extra Drinks are available to purchase and kept chilled in ice boxes.

     Each felucca is equipped with life jackets and fire extinguishers according to the safety requirements of each tour.  There is a canopy to protect from the sun, which can be opened up for the sun worshippers.  A Felucca over and side tent is available at night-time.

     There is a cabin at the front of the felucca is for the crew’s personal use, passengers can use this area for getting changed in private.

     Feluccas stop each night at an Island along the Nile. The crew offers a Nubian show for the Group at least one time per Trip.
